The new DPS catalog
The Design and Printing Services (DPS) storefront is officially open! While we’re currently going through a soft launch of the new system, it is available for you to browse and use. Everything is consolidated into one space, making your ordering process easier than ever before! It is truly a one-stop shopping experience.
You can view the storefront by visiting staff.storefront.wsu.edu. Whenever you visit this space, it will be good to get into the habit of logging in as the very first step. This makes sure you have access to all of the catalog items and information specific to your group.
Tip: If you aren’t sure if you have an account set up already, talk to your project coordinator, and they’ll be able to let you know!
Once you log in, you will be taken to your account space. You will see the catalog categories showing up in the sidebar, or you can click on Catalog in the Quick Links section. If there are items specific to your department/unit, those will be listed at the top of the sidebar, and then everything else will be underneath that.
Branded WSU Items
The majority of the branded WSU items you would have ordered from our promotional items store will now be located in the Branded WSU Items tab of the catalog. Some of those items, like the WSU calendars, have also been split out into their own sections, but you will find almost every product that was previously available here in the storefront.
We are also kicking off our soft launch by introducing 3 new branded items to our shop: sticky notes, a larger nonadhesive notepad, and a personalized notepad. We have more items on the horizon, but these 3 are ready to order right now!
The previous stationery website will also be a thing of the past. All of those branded items will still be available for you to order, but the ordering and proofing processes have been refined.
The new categories for these items are business cards, envelopes, greeting cards and notecards, and stationery. These will continue to be the official WSU branded items you can trust, so the only customization available for these products is choice of WSU logo and then the information you need on the item itself. The art and placement will remain consistent for branding purposes.
You will also be able to view your proof in real time on the same screen as the form you’re filling out so everything is side-by-side as you enter your information.
Other print items
Something that we have only been able to minimally offer previously is the ability to upload predesigned files for items you’d like to print. So not only can you order your business cards and felt pennants at the same time, but you can also add those predesigned brochures you need printed up.
Tip: If you would prefer some help with graphic design, click the Request Design button to get a custom design created for your project.
Download the handy templates for the item and size you need (don’t forget the 0.125” bleed!) and then upload your art once it’s ready to go. You have control over what kind of item, the quantity, the paper type, and the ink (full color or black and white).
The kinds of items and sizes we have listed on the website are the more standard items, but it doesn’t mean that’s what we’re limited to! If you want something you don’t see, reach out to your project coordinator, and they’ll be able to help you. If you aren’t sure who your coordinator is, their contact information will be listed at the bottom of your My Account page.
We appreciate your patience during this time. If you have any questions or experience any issues while using the storefront, please don’t hesitate to contact your coordinator. DPS is excited to share this next step with you, and we hope you enjoy the new features!
Don’t see what you’re looking for?
If you are looking for an item that isn’t listed on our website, we now have a Request a Quote button on every page, making it convenient for you to get more information about what you need.
Once you click on the button, it will take you to a short form where you can tell us everything about your project, including a description, the due date, and other services you may need.
With that information, your coordinator will either reach out to you if they have follow up questions or get an estimate together for you and talk about the next steps for your project.
Ordering your items will be easier than ever before through Design and Printing Services’ new storefront!
